Lion devours a guide at Nxabega Lodge

MAUN - A 25-year-old man of Moeti ward in Maun, working as a guide at
Nxabega Lodge in the Okavango Delta was killed and devoured by a lion last
week.

Maun police's assistant superintendent Jerry Halahala said the deceased was
with clients on a game drive at around 6pm when the incident occurred.

The guide had stopped the vehicle for the tourists to have a snack while he
went into the bush to relieve himself when the lion attacked.

Halahala said after waiting for him for some time, the tourists decided to
go and look for him only to discover his body being devoured by lions.

Still in Maun, a 27-year -old man of Sedie ward died after he was stabbed
with a sharp instrument at Mmaleselo bar on Sunday. BOPA
